Connection

I have installed the latest bukkit jar and start it with

java.exe -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-snapshot.jar

Which gets me the following (which looks like a normal start):

Unfortunately I cannot connect. It just times out. If I start mcadmin with a regular minecraft jar I can connect fine, which tells me it's not a firewall issue.

At a loss here. Anyone? Thanks.

 

From what you said it's the W7 firewall profblem, go to advanced and enable the port for java.

 

also try taking out the serverip=127.0.0.1 from the server.properties

 

Server 2008 R2, but I'll see if there's a "java" port. I think I have the firewall pretty much off on incoming connections though.

It was the server-ip line... works fine with standard minecraft... not so much with bukkit. Now I know.
