    Permissions 3.0
Rcjrrcjr has been working quite hard on this upgrade to Permissions. However, it currently still suffers from a number of bugs. The most important of these which directly affects HeroChat is the non-functioning of prefixes and suffixes. There are less-than-pretty workarounds, but I'm refraining from fully supporting an update until Permissions 3.1 is released which should include a number of significant bug fixes. When this does occur, however, I have a build ready for you guys that should work. You can download it here. Again, I highly suggest not using this until Permissions 3.1 is released unless you really don't care about prefixes and such.

See you when I get back!

Is your config resetting when you make changes?
If you make changes to the config while the server is running, you need to use the /ch reload command to make the changes stick. I wish this message wasn't necessary, but people only seem to read things in big, bold, red text (if at all).

Have a problem? a feature request? Go here.
HeroChat now has its very own redmine found here. If you have an issue or would like to suggest a new feature, I urge you to file it via redmine. I will be checking this much more often than this thread from here on out.

Show your thanks! Maintaining plugins like HeroChat is very nearly a full time job. Any help would be great :)

The format for this (following the instructions in the original post) would be '{prefix}{suffix}:{player}: '. You'll still have to define at least one channel (it CAN be only a single channel if you'd prefer), but if you're not interested in chat channels then this probably isn't the best plugin for your server.

Would you consider offering me a non-branded version for a small donation? For example, when anyone implements a /ch command [Hero Chat] is a prefix.

It won't be distributed, and the Mod will be mentioned on my website.

Let me know & thanks again,

You have to leave the other channels to stop seeing their messages. If you're asking how you can force users to only be in one channel at a time... you can't.

Hmm it looks fine. What versions of HeroChat, Permissions and CB are you using?

    Nice work on this plugin.

{healthbar} doesn't seem to work currently, it doesn't show up for me at all.
    This was my default-message-format above:
    Code:
    {color.CHANNEL}[{nick}] {color.WHITE}{prefix}{player}-{healthbar}-{suffix}{color.CHANNEL}
Also, it took me a while to realize that I needed to use /ch reload and not /reload.
When using the global /reload it will overwrite any changes i've done to config.yml with the last version it had loaded. Really annoying behavior imo, but /ch reload doesn't do that.

    DThielke

Do you have iChat installed? {healthbar} just uses the healthbar generated by iChat, so if you don't have it installed they won't work.

Also, I'll change the reloading behavior to be consistent in the next update.

Ah ok, gotcha. I removed iChat since it will probably be phased out now that Nijikokun has said they'd stop developing their plugins.

I'll keep it for now, but is there any chance you could implement something similar, in-case future bukkit updates break iChat?

I'm not sure if i'm doing this right, but when I try joining a channel like HelpMe for example, it says you are already in this channel even though i'm in global.

    Great plugin nevertheless.

You can be in multiple channels at once. To see what channels you're in, type /ch channels. You are in any channels with a * after their name.

No dice. Now if I kick and ban them they can't see the channel but they can still talk in it; this means they can't see what they say in that channel but everyone else can.

Ok, now it should really be fixed. Forgot to apply my fix in one location.

    Change Log
    Version 3.17
    • Fixed banning and kicking players again.

Lovin' this addon, but I wish it could parse colour codes in chat (e.g.'&3'), as well as /nick if you've made one via essentials. That would be *SO* awesome!

It should be perfectly compatible with /nick as it uses player display names.

For parsing colors in chat, you mean within user messages themselves? I'm not a big fan of this as it would allow players to use obnoxiously colored messages that override the channel settings.

Saying that without giving me details isn't helpful, as it's working for plenty of people.

Post your errors and your configs and anything else that might be relevant.
