    I first tried minecraft's own server programm, which worked perfect. But what's missing from there is the plugins, which bukkit got tons of. So i tried to setup my server using bukkit and connecting trough localhost works perfect but i can't get the ip connection to work. I have not found any solution to my problem so i choosed to post it here.
    Here is a picture of my port forwarding:
    portforward.PNG
    As you can see i portforwarded the port 25565 to my ip4v adress, so nothing should be wrong here.
    I also used pfportchecker to see if the port was open, which it was.

    And this is how my server properties lookes like:
    #Minecraft server properties
    #Wed Dec 14 11:25:01 CET 2011
    allow-nether=true
    level-name=world
    allow-flight=false
    enable-query=false
    server-port=25565
    enable-rcon=false
    level-seed=
    server-ip=
    white-list=false
    spawn-animals=true
    online-mode=false
    pvp=false
    difficulty=1
    gamemode=0
    max-players=20
    spawn-monsters=true
    view-distance=10
    motd=A Minecraft Server

    From what i have found out, nothing should be wrong there either.

    So any help would be very helpfull ^^. If you need more information just ask.

    Thank you

    I don't know if this is the same for your provider, but mine asks the IP4v adress in the firewall config so people can access it. so goto firewall and search for anything related to server hosting and put the IP4v adress of your server machine there :)

    hope that helped, Zipron

    It says: Failed to connect to the server, connection times out:connect

    :D Just wanted to tell you that i solved the problem.
    What i did was: allowed java in my computer firewall.
    Thanks for your help.
