Is there a way to stop exp orb to be droped if you are killed with a plugin? We need it really bad on our pvp server. All the auto drop plugins do not remove/block exp orbs. Thanks
In theorie the entity spawning events of the orbs should be cancelable. @Switch0r: Did you notice that you got a PM? EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
I have a jj.class that someone wrote (or just deleted lines of code) from the minecraft.jar that I can share with someone who actually knows what they are looking at. I was coming to this forum to actually request JUST this thing. I periodically will stop my vanilla world. Use a tool to remove free orbs, and then restart. Even a plugin that just sets the lifetime of orbs to be 5min or something...or customizeable. Even combined with commandbook, worldguard, etc. I can't imagine for the parties that know what they're doing...that this would be a terribly difficult thing to do. @sk89q
He knows that one already, but he wants to DISABLE dropping them. Tough i got no idea how to do that.... And i dont think its possible.
Since the exp seems to be stored in player.dat file, is it possible for a plugin to access online player.dat file every now and then and edit the XP value to 0? That way if they die at the least they wont drop days worth of experience.
That will cost alot of RAM, I would advice you to use this: Or just wait for a official 1.8.2 to come out, since it will be fixed that time. EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
