[PluginDev] I am in need of a plugin developer, please read!

Hello,
I, hhaammzzaa2, am in need of a plugin developer for my new server HazeCraft.
I need many different plugins created and tweaked especially for my ideas for hazecraft!
I can't offer money, but a high rank on my server when released, though maybe more after a while.(money maybe if you are good enough) I have high expectations, and have put a lot of work. This ain't no random server with no effort. It would be most preferable if you have written either 1 plugin which has gained a decent amount of popularity, or a numerous amount of plugins each with a good amount of popularity. I also would like it if you didn't release plugins for HazeCraft as they are what will make the server unique. If you are willing to except this role and would really appreciate it! You will be pmed the ip for my server, and I will get down to business with some plugin ideas, if your able to write them and some other details!

HazeCraft? Sounds like some college thing where you haze and play minecraft or something

 

Your plugin list isnt that big, its 1 plugin. It doesn't look like a lot and you might not be able to handle some of my ideas? Im in need of someone experienced.

I might be interested in doing this however I am for the most part against making plugins specifically for one server except under a few circumstances. Also I wouldn't be able to start on this right away because I am currently working on 2 plugins for 2 different people that I am getting payed for.

Your server is just starting, and your expectations are high. You most likely have no idea whether your ideas are possible, and I don't think you'll be able to manage this, thus I think you need to get a bit of experience.

Seriously though, you don't know how experienced the guy is by just seeing that he has 1 plugin, nor do you know if he can help you or not...

Thats great! The reason I would like them to be private is because, again, I want them to be unique to the server. I'm sorry that I won't be able to pay you straight away, but after a while, I could! I'm not sure if that entices you?
Just to say, you don't have to do this. You should continue with those plugins first.

I have had servers before but not a plugin developer to develop plugins for my server only.
I see where you are coming from however, I have put a lot of work into this server!
I know my ideas are possible because there are plugins similar to a few of my ideas around Bukkit.
For example, one of my ideas is a PvP System which works with people just using a command and put in a que, e.g /pvp 1v1 join. Then when another person enters /pvp 1v1 join, the two people are teleported to an arena in which they fight. There will be ranks maybe if possible that determine how many deaths you've had and your kills. Like kill death ratio. So for example, Kills give you 2 points and deaths give you -1. I know this is mostly possible because there are plugins like this around, however, they only do team games like 2v2 or more. There is no current plugin I can find thats 1v1 and automated.
Plus, to be honest, you can't really be telling me my expectations are too high. They are not Extremely complicated and I have just noticed that you are part of Heroes. And you just told me my expectations are too high? Thats like one of the most sophisticated plugins I have seen on Bukkit!

Please stop bumping without any useful information. This is a community that shares ideas. Saying "I need someone, but can't discuss specifics here, can't share code here, can't even name the server here" won't get very far.

Well sorry, I'm in need of a plugin developer and i have a short space of time. I did say the server name, it's 'HazeCraft'.

 

PM me and check my sig if you're interested. I'm sorry to say, but I can't work for free, but I have made roughly 20 private plugins as well as my current (and a few I dropped) public plugins.

 

Your idea sounds expensive. So I'll do it. Assuming you pay. You won't get anything of quality for free.

If you really wan't you stuff done to your liking just go out and learn Java by yourself. In the long run it would probably be more beneficial.

I_am_not_funny is currently working on a pvp plugin I requested. His plugin is probably gonna be the most sophisticated I need!

List exactly you want, and then list the rewards for completing the task. No one is taking this job because you haven't listed exactly what you want. Try doing that and maybe someone will be interested.

 

Sorry but as I stated, I'm not able to pay at this moment, but maybe in time. That means I'm looking for people that are able to work for free but I will pay them if i'm able too.

Well first of all, I'm not able to offer money NOW but in time I might be able to.
Second, not everyone wants money, i_am_not_funny has agreed ages ago and is currently working on the plugin i just stated. He doesn't want money just a good rank on the server. (maybe he just wants to get better I presume)

I didn't want to list my ideas on the thread because I didn't know exactly what I wanted on the spot but an idea.
After a conversation with i_am_not_funny, I explained to him my first plugin idea, extra stuff I fought on the spot and he even contributed.
I didn't have my idea set in stone at first. -_-
And to finally counter your last comment, you said 'try doing that maybe someone will be interested'.
You obviously don't believe I did your points even though in the end, I got someone to help me.
Please try not to just go on someones post and in a sense, troll.

Wow. If you got someone to make you a free, private plugin with high quality, I'll be surprised. But you're not going to make it very far if you can't offer $5 or something.

Stipulations before you even bother PMing me though:

• Without pay ($5+) you are using a plugin API I am making
• The plugin(s) I make for you may end up public under GNU GPL v3 on Bukkit Dev
• The plugin(s) I make WILL go on my personal GitHub
• If you don't like a stipulation, pay is required. We can discuss this.
• Timelines are not set in stone meaning when I say "Thursday" it can mean "Anytime between now and later"
• You supply a list of features, I'm not going to say "Hey why not add..."
• When I give you a first version .jar, it will work and may not be 100% optimized.
• I'm not going to deal with hooks into other plugins if it takes more than 24 hours of my work to do so.
  • I have created the following hooks already (meaning <24hours of work have been put in):
    • mChatSuite
    • CommandBook
    • mcMMO
    • Factions
    • Register (for Economy)
    • meaSuite (Native support without pay)
• Bugs may be present, the project(s) and/or plugin(s) may not be updated past a certain point (example: next RB or after a month of feature changes)
• If you change your mind on features so many times that I am forced to re-write excessive amounts of code before I send you the updated (or first) jar, I will call off the project. What I mean by this is if you say "I want custom messages", then say after I've written a majority of them: "Can you move it to a new file?", and after that: "Can you put it back in config.yml?" My qualifications are as follows:
