Power outage shutdown my server and now it won't load back up

    I know this error is listed
    on common problems, but I am not sure if I have a backed up version of my world and really don't want to restart. If you could provide help that would be beneficial. Thanks! Also if it matters I run my server on Ubuntu.

    try setting up a different world or test world to see if it will load. also try downloading MCedit and using there repair tool to repair the chunks on ur current map. if this doesnt work let me know...got a few other things you can try but are more complicated

    or only open and save the World with mcEdit. Helped for me, BUT mcEdit changed the Seed,
    so open your level.dat with nbtEdit and change the new seed to your old.
    (If you use the new seed, you can't use //regen, and the biomes and weather are out of alignment)
