Hello, I am having issues in using Wordrank, bPermissions, iChat together. Its supposed to be used so that when guests login to the server, they can enter a word into the chat and be promoted to Builder. But the issue is they get promoted to Builder, but in chat they are still called Guests (they have access to Builder commands etc).

    PlayerName:
    - Guest
    - Builder

(This is the configuration after wordrank promotes them, it makes the rank "appear" as Guest but with Builder permissions)

    PlayerName:
    - Builder
    - Guest

(This configuration when made manually, makes the rank appear as Builder and with Builder permissions) This is what I want, How would I go about doing it? Thank You

I had the exact same issue. There's no real way around it, as this manner of functioning is purposefully built into bPermissions.

If you want real inheritance and hierarchy, I would seriously recommend switching to PEX. I spent literally days trying to mold bPermissions into something that would be workable in my server, but gave up in the end because it simply lacks the required functionality.

If it helps, I'm working on a solution to this that will allow both types of way to work (hopefully)

That would be amazing, would you mind give an eta on the plugin development? (No rush thought, quality over quantity)

1-3 weeks depending how much free time I have - I estimate about 50 hours coding time.

Wow, okay, for now I shall just let my Builders be called guests and occasionally go through my world YML and replace all - Guest with blanks
