Help please :L

Hey! I have had the same problem as many people! I had a link and downloaded what i think is the new version of Bukkit! I downloaded it and it is somewhere on my PC when i try to run my original server it says FAILED TO BIND PORT! I dunno what i got to do Please Help!

 

Go into your server folder and open server.properties in notepad. Under server ip, look at what server ip you've set.

Then, search for cmd.exe and open it. Type ipconfig, press enter and look at the ip you've got. Is it the same as in server.properties?

This is my server.properties. Notice the fourth line from the bottom:

server-ip=192.168.2.2

What does it say in your file, and is it the same IP as the one that comes up if you type 'ipconfig' into cmd.exe?

 

I leave the server-ip field blank. Unless you have an advanced setup, you should probably do so too.

Try restarting your computer to fix the Binding issue. Make sure you don't have any other minecraft servers running.

 

Ok, no more FAILED TO BIND PORT!! Now when it connects, OUTDATED SERVER :L

 

Good sir, I request you please read the forums. Both of these problems you mentioned are very heavily documented. Failed to bind to port.
Outdated Server.

You no longer see a "Failed to bind to port" or a "Outdated Server" message? Do you see any messages now?
