Remove redstone dust and torches etc..?

Hey, I was wondering if there was a way that I can clear all of the redstone circuits, or maybe in a certain radius, in the world. Seems like it's starting to cause some lag.

Also, redstone torches and repeaters seem to "lag" and completely turn on/off at random times or at very delayed times. They aren't burned out because they will turn on at some point.

You could use MCEdit to remove them.

 

If u use woldedit (which most peaople do) you can select an area, use the command "//replace redstone air"
this replaces all redsont with air. if you wanna do restone torches, pistons ext its the same command just different variables

 

For large areas I would use MCEdit
