Hey, Just a quick question/clarification I need. If I was to host a server on my computer, for just me and my brother to play on, will it use up bandwidth? We live in the same house, so it's sort of pseudo-LAN I guess, as we are not actually connecting over the internet. Thanks.
If you are in the same network then yes. If you live in the same building and both have a seperate internet connection / router then no. so yea, if you live in the same house and share your internet connection and use the same router then he can connect over internal ip and it won't use any bandwidth.

As it will only be the two of us on the server, that doesn't really make a lot of sense. Thanks anyways though. My computer is quite capable of hosting for the two of as it is anyways. The only lag I've noticed is from using VoxelSniper with a large brush, so not really looking to rent one. Haha, he must think I'm made of money! Going a few GB over my cap would be less than a server would cost I imagine.
