What is Buycraft, and why does my Minecraft server need it?​

Buycraft enables you to sell in game items/memberships to your community, allowing yourself to fund your server bills to keep your Minecraft server alive. Buycraft is basically an online shopping cart system for your own server!​

After you have created a Buycraft account, you are given an online webstore which you can use to promote your items for sale. Your players will visit this website and be able to purchase the items that they want, be it a collection of armour, or a monthly VIP membership.​

Buycraft enables you to sell ANYTHING to your users, from a collection of armour upgrades, to monthly VIP memberships. When a player purchases a product, it is automatically processed on your Minecraft server, and removes all hassle of managing payments by yourself. I didnt use anything to build it. I use eclipse/netbeans.

there is a new buycraft.yml config in the plugin directory! delete the buycraft folder and use buycraft.yml

 

Well for starters, you should reset your api secret now due to you posting it on here... its ment to be kept secret

Its probably because you are not copying it out correctly, or missing the space in between the ":" and your key.

 

I run Dexteria, one of your premium members.

I really like buycraft, but several times now you've updated the plugin, and when my server reloads (it does every 4 hours) it breaks donations until someone tries, then lets me know. I never see the [broken] message on reload because the reloads are automatic. I know I lost out on at least one donation because of this.

It would be really helpful if either you could set up an email list so I get an email whenever you update so I can update my server, or if (even better) the plugin would update itself - if I recall correctly there are a few plugins that do this.

oh one last option that would be really nice (might be an advanced users only option) would be to allow me to use my own domain to redirect to your site for each package. So, instead of /buy 3 showing your shortened link, it would instead show "dexteria.org/diamondpackage" and then I can make a redirect page in that directory towards the buycraft.net page.

I realize most users might not use this, but for those of us who host our own websites it would be nice.

Hey, first off thanks for purchasing premium.

Right, I can see where you are coming from, and i can understand why its frustrating.

I do not normally update as quickly as i have done the past 5 updates, the reason they were really quick intervals is because of the new bukkit updates ect, so im sure your problem wont occur again. However i do like ure idea, and ill look into setting up a mail service!

 

I understand the logic around hosting it yourself, but it would be cool in the future to offer it as superpremium feature. I'm sure big servers would prefer to keep people on their site and would pay $10+ for that functionality.

 

I could do this, but then people would just leak the source. 10 dollars is way to low compared to how much i put into it, and im not selling it anyway, i dont do this for money.

 

also, you can buy without accepting the TOS.

no config file is generated for me it wont accept the old one from 2.5 i was about to buy premium but now cant access at all

I brought a package I made for testing purposes and payment wise, everything went through beautfully. However, when I went to claim the buy I got no response in game, and the server spit this at me. Also, I downloaded the latest buycraft fron your site last night.

Is there a possiblility you could include Fortumo.com SMS IPN into your plugin, I would be extremly grateful, thanks.

 

Ive been thinking of doing this for along time, but not yet found a sms provider with a good api for me to use. i will look into it.

I register fine... Once you register it sends you back to the login screen, this is normal.
