Friends can't connect?

I have a small Hamachi creative server that I invite a few friends on. Ever since I made a Bukkit server, they can't connect anymore. They were able to connect when it was just a vanilla server. Sorry if this is the wrong section, I'm kinda new to these forums. Any help is appreciated! I am running Windows 7 32 bit. I have Java 7. The only plugins I have installed are Essentials. I have Bukkit build #1185.

 

Did your friends join ur hamachi server? I mean, with hamachi you need to create a channel and ur friends join there to join urserver :/

 

Yes, as I've said, I had a Hamachi server before. Only recently I decided to get Bukkit.

I haven't hosted a Hamachi server in a while, but I think I remember you having to put the hamachi ip in the server.properties? If you haven't done so, that's probably the problem, I think.

 

Yersteday I tried to get rid of Hamachi to make connection much easier for others.I have setted up port-forwarding but now I cannot connect to my server using the external ip now.Can anyone help me?

 

@honam1021 You do not connect to your own server using the external IP. Use the local network IP or if it's the same machine: localhost / 127.0.0.1

 

I have done that before, which is how they connected.
