hey, i got a problem. i have an offline server on which iam playin with some friends. (lan) So after the release of 1.8.1 we started a new map. at first everything was fine a lot of animals runnin around. but now there are almost none and it takes lik 30 mins until and animal spawns and usually its only one in a large area . any way to fix it? or is it my fault?
There is no recommended build for bukkit, if you are running a normal minecraft server you should post in that forum.
iam usin the latest bukkit dev for my server. and i guess iam not the only one doin it. so some feedback if its only a problem on my server or if everyone else got the same prob would be nice.
Same here, animals don't spawn, #1124. But this is already known to Dinnerbone et al, if I remember correctly.
They spawn fine for me but in the server console says errors like Code: 00:12:38 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntitySheep@f77 00:12:38 [INFO] -389.78125,23.96875(-25,1) vs -24,2 00:12:38 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntitySheep@f79 00:12:38 [INFO] -317.78125,28.6875(-20,1) vs -20,2 00:12:38 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntitySheep@f7a 00:12:38 [INFO] -301.40625,25.65625(-19,1) vs -20,2 00:12:38 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntitySheep@f7b 00:12:38 [INFO] -313.5,15.84375(-20,0) vs -20,2 00:12:38 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntitySheep@f7c 00:12:38 [INFO] -317.53125,25.4375(-20,1) vs -20,2 00:12:38 [INFO] New max size: 1444 00:12:38 [INFO] New max size: 4096 00:12:38 [INFO] New max size: 4356 00:12:40 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntityPig@10bb 00:12:40 [INFO] -344.28125,15.96875(-22,0) vs -22,1 00:12:40 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntityPig@10bc 00:12:40 [INFO] -342.28125,15.875(-22,0) vs -22,1 00:12:40 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntityPig@10bd 00:12:40 [INFO] -345.78125,15.96875(-22,0) vs -22,1 00:12:40 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntityPig@10be 00:12:40 [INFO] -339.96875,15.90625(-22,0) vs -22,1 00:12:40 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntitySheep@10d 00:12:40 [INFO] -230.8125,30.65625(-15,1) vs -14,1 00:12:42 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntityPig@10ea 00:12:42 [INFO] -58.84375,79.9375(-4,4) vs -3,5 00:12:42 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntityCow@10eb 00:12:42 [INFO] -31.96875,175.53125(-2,10) vs -3,10 00:12:42 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntityCow@10ec 00:12:42 [INFO] -31.96875,183.96875(-2,11) vs -3,11 00:12:42 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntityCow@10ed 00:12:42 [INFO] -31.9375,276.84375(-2,17) vs -3,16 00:12:42 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntityCow@10ee 00:12:42 [INFO] -31.90625,275.71875(-2,17) vs -3,16 00:12:42 [INFO] Wrong location! net.minecraft.server.EntityCow@10ef 00:12:42 [INFO] -31.96875,278.15625(-2,17) vs -3,18
Newest dev build should fix it. However, the "bugged entities" must be removed either with a map editor or by killing them in game (at least that's how I understood it). Or you just delete the chunk with the entities inside.
its just a generated map for testing plugins im just going to be pulling my main map over for me and my friend
I have same problem. Newest build installed but almost no animals. With these bugged entities you mean what? I hope that it will be fixed without deleting my map..
EvilSeph tweeted this recently: Then somebody said that the errors are still there and he replied: You can download your map and delete only the chunk it mentions in the error with a map editor or clear out the entities.
Thank you for answer, but, can you explain me how exactly i can edit/clear entities and what exactly i have to do? I have no experiences with something like world editing.. And if i have to delete chunks - does it mean that i lose my structures like houses, castles towers and more in affected chunks? (sorry for my english, i'm czech ).
animals/mobs spawned fine for me until i turned animals/mobs to false i turned both to true again,.. no more mobs/animals (just a few)
ye, i ment, they worked when i didnt touch anything, since i turned em off, and back on, they dont spawn anymore
Same like me.. I tried also re-install bukkit, load older version of my world but the problem is still the same.. I'm really out of hope.
I play 1.8.1 without CraftBukkit (better wait till stable CB) and have the same problems with creature/mob spawn weirdness. So its likely a vannila bug. Esepcialy when I disable/enable mobs, sometimes the setting change does just nothing.
Okay. 1. click here: http://davidvierra.com/mcedit.html Download the app. 2. Download (or copy if the server's local) your map on your desktop. 3. Open MCEdit. 4. Load the Map in MCEdit. 5. Select the bad chunks. 6. Hit "delete entities" on the left. 7. Save the map. 8. Overwrite the unedited Map with the edited one (backup the old map in case something goes wrong) 9. Start server, be happy. I hope that helps. (I am NOT sure that this will work! If not, you'll have to regenerate the chunks which (unfortunately) deletes everything in it unless you copy it with worldedit before.)
I just registred to thank you dude . I was wondering why the hell i didn't have animals (aggressive mobs too) spawning , i tried your solution , it worked like a charm . Thanks again
Thank you very much! I had this problem too, because I didn't want to wait for a recommended build and updated earlier, I had this problem in all maps. But now with your solution, there are animals everythere like it should be.
I have the same problem. I'm gonna try @efstajas 's solution tomorrow morning. I'd do it now but there are players on and my world is quite big... MCEdit will probably take a few minutes to do it. I'll report back with results!
LOL Mine took about one hour... and I did my 5 worlds at once. It didn't work; still no mobs. Not that it matters anymore, with 1.0 out and all.
