In order to centralize support of our legacy projects, we will no longer be providing support on Bukkit. Please use www.spout.org for support with our projects going forward.

Grab one of the latest development builds. Spout is only build for RB's. You need a dev build to run it on non RB builds.

  3. I did do (in a few posts back) but it made no difference. To satisfy my stupid curiosity, I re-uploaded the #403 build again, but without renaming it this time. Same problem. I connect, the server crashes/restarts.

We'll need newer logs then. The error in the logs you originally posted was fixed in build 396

  5. I've just refreshed my server log and compared the errors in Notepad++. Apart from the timestamps, the errors are identical.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread...

When installing Spoutcraft, Microsoft Security Essentials flagged a java exploit (while downloading some of the minecraft .jars. I don't remember which one exactly)

Here's the MS Encyclopedia entry on it

It's a false positive. You are using our updater right? It's just seeing that it's downloading files.

Spoutcraft will not start anymore. I haven't changed anything... when I click on the spoutupdater it just shows a loading symbol for the mouse icon and nothing loads and nothing is in the process list under task manager (using windows vista ultimate 64)...

It had been working wonderfully a dozen times in the past few days, but now the .exe and the .jar won't run. The normal minecraft.net client works fine.

I can't imagine what it would be. I've tried downloading a newer version but I get the same result.

A fix will be up in 1 min, just a sec. :/

Restart the launcher, it should update and be fixed now, sorry about that.

  12. Re-downloaded #403 now that it's a recommended build. and Spout works perfectly. How incredibly odd!! Sorry for the fuss :)

Here I thought I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling flash player.

    Thanks for the quick fix!

Quick question, why did you remove the animation controls from the video settings?

the launcher can auto update itself. I accidently broke it during an automated update. :p

I think it was causing some issues. @narrowtux would probably know more details as he was the one working on that part I believe.

    @Afforess

When can we expect a reco build for the Spout jar that has that fix for the errors I had, I also manged to work the chunk issue so get carried away with that if u don't feel like it.

  22. WHEN DID HE SAY THAT AND WHY ?

Got a question, i want to use certain mods that i downloaded (as example the world edit CUI)
But as soon as i add it to the minecraft.jar in the spout folder, i cant do anything with the spout client.
it just stays at a white screen.
Any idea how this can be fixed ?

  25. It's easy to fix. Don't mod the jar for SpoutCraft.

  26. Offline

    Jiggy

    that i already know...
was hoping that there is a change that i still can mod it

  27. No. SpoutCraft will never support other mods. That's direct from the development team.

    Afforess

It already has been updated to a RB, silently.

So, on that note...for things like Zan's Minimap & W/E CUI, will there ever be a future for those particular (and very handy imo) utilities in the world of Spout? Those aren't just mods...but really useful utilities.

I suppose on a sidenote, what of some other types of mods. Say...Buildcraft or IC2. Do they fit into a future via Spout in one form or another? I suppose I don't entirely understand the philosophy behind Spout if they don't figure on any other mods, but then include some like Optifine (though I can see why they integrate that).

thats quite annoying =/ Special if u use certain mods a lot, and u want the spout client to. Oh well... no more spout for me then untill they going to support mods ;)

    Afforess

Yes . We won't even support mods, where you change files inside of the jar, but are instead writing a bukkit like system where clients load addons much like bukkit loads plugins.
