MyBed - Players cannot sleep in other Players' beds
Version: 0.2 (7/16/2011)
Supports iConomy, BOSEconomy, Essentials, Permissions

Features:

• Players own a bed when they sleep in it
• A Player cannot sleep in another Players' bed
• A Player cannot destroy another Players' bed
• Signs can be used to make Inns
• Inns can charge Players to sleep in a bed
• Inns can regenerate health
• Fully customizable messages

To setup an Inn first own the bed.
Then place a sign above the bed and format it as follows:
First line = wutever you want
Second line = Cost: x (x is the amount of money which will be taken from the sleeper and given to the bed owner)
Third line = Health: x (x is the amount of half hearts regenerated by the sleeper)
Last line = wutever you want

Here is an example of an Inn sign:

• mybed.inn - needed to make an Inn

2) I have 1 bed, that could heal me 1 hp per one sleep.
For exaple one hp every day free - so cool.
1)
I have 0.5 hp.
I sleep on bed over 9000 times => i have full hp.

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but does this allow you to sleep when it is not night? I keep seeing posts about multiple sleeps and whatnot, and am just curious.

Finally got a stable build with some added features

 

Would it be possible to somehow make it so that we can make the money go to the "server" instead of the person who made it. Like im setting up an inn in the city on our server, but i dont want the money going to me. im an op but i play like a normal player and dont want the money.

 

ya I can do that, should the player line say server or just be blank?

Edit2: hey Codisimus, i seemed to notice something and had an inkling . when i spend a night at the inn, that becomes my new spawn point because i slept there. fairly normal, but if someone else sleeps there does that remain my spawn point? i dont remember if this is how beds normally work or not, but if someone else rents the bed for a night it should relinquish that as your spawn point. if thats how things work already then ignore this Edit2 lol

 

I don't think that is how it works so I'll look into adding that as an option if it doesn't cause other problems.

Edit: Hey Codisimus, i meant to post this to you a while ago, but i kept forgetting. What about people who make guest rooms at their homes? You could make it work the same way as an inn but instead the sign over the bed could just say "Guest"

I will add a "guest" feature but until then just put cost:0 and health:0

Edit: Oh, and, you probably already know, but dont forget to make the Guest available for anyone to make, not just ops or whatever.

 

Yes I realize the 0 and 0 doesn't work bc only admins can use it. Guest will default to be available to anyone

I added a "Guest Bed" feature to version 0.5.0
I also included another permission node (mybed.guest), mybed.guest is true by default and mybed.inn is not op by default.

Edit: Hey Codisimus, not to nag, you added the guest bed, but not the Server Inn (where the money goes to no one). Are you still planning on adding this feature? Need it soon if ya can! (About to open our server for play)

 

Did you request that? I must've forgot. adding it now...

EDIT: I made it so you create it by typing "Server Inn" instead of "Inn" on the top line. If you have a better idea of how to format it let me know. Testing now, should be uploaded in 5 minutes.

You. Rock. And as for the Server Inn, i honestly thought about that for a while, and i couldnt think of anything else either lol. Thanks so much

not sure exactly sure what exactly is happening now, but me and another op both made beds for testing. doesnt matter if its in survival or creative modes, op or no op, when we make the the server inn beds, they say inn was made.

but when we lay down in eachothers and our own beds for testing, it says nothing at first, and then it takes all his money and none of mine, and works even if he doesnt have money, but doesnt say anything when we wake up either. also it takes him 5-10 clicks to lay down, and he has a better connection then i do.

also it seems that both beds are in my name in the .dat file, possibly because both beds were mine at first? tested breaking the beds and each laying their own bed down, and deleting all the mybed files. getting the same results regardless.


EDIT: ok the issue is this:
it wasnt relinquishing the bed location from my name even when broken, so when he put a bed in that spot it was still mine, its still putting it in our names even if a server bed, and when we sleep in our own nothing happens money wise, but if we sleep in eachothers, it takes a long time to lay down and takes all money, and can sleep in a bed even if you have no money.

Ok I believe I have fixed everything that would cause these issues, try this Dev Build

 

Ew Dev build lol. I'll test what i can, but no one else is online at the moment, so i cant give a full analysis like before


Edit:
- still had my name attached to Server Inn bed in the .dat
- told me i needed the money but let me sleep in the bed anyway
+ told me it deducted (didnt before because my name was attached to Server Inn bed in the .dat)
- upon second attempt to sleep (this time with 200$) it took about 5 clicks to lay down and took all my money
- when bed was destroyed it was still in the .dat file

i think thats as far as i can test by myself atm

the only difference is that now it doesnt charge or say anything for our own Server Inn beds again. could it be the fact that it has a space in Server Inn? i really dont know just guessing. everything else is still the same problems

 

can you delete your save file? or at least these entries

 

Yes, i deleted everything before i tested every time, just to be sure it didnt hang onto anything. Im a pretty thorough tester

 

which version does it say it is? maybe I uploaded the wrong thing bc I did a lot of testing this time and everything worked out fine (as long as it was from a clean save file)
