Custom hunger bar health adding/removing

It would be nice to pick at wich rate the health depletes when your hungerbar is empty and down to what health it can deplete.

Anybody?

I was just about to request this. I'd like to be able to make hunger more like poison where it can't kill you, but it can deplete your health significantly. Otherwise, I'll have to disable hunger altogether and some of my players want it.

 

Can anybody do it?

Why not just change the difficulty?

 

Lol how? There isnt a difficulty thing in my server-properties
