[Solutions] Disable the XP Orb lagfest, plz!

    @McSpazzy lol no they arnt. :) Id think op is sufficient for a plugin like this, since 1.8.2 will address this issues "again". Dont waste time on something like that. So what if you make one person cry over it. Keep up the good work bud, any idea on a release time?

    @methos I tried one second, but the orbs hadn't always spawned before the remove code kicked in. Plus, it gives people a chance to pick some up.

    I noticed a big increase in lag after adding the plugin :/ And nobody is even dying. Does the plugin check monster deaths too? I know I asked for it, but now I think it might cause the problem. Since only players cause the massive xp drops, it wouldnt be bad if theres no monster check.

    Ugh, sorry @McSpazzy but your plugin just lags the hell out of everyone, ping bars are at 1 for everyone and some are even X's :confused: Removed your plugin, got back to 5-4 bars :/

    works good. You mentioned multiworld capable? does that mean we dont have to specify worlds now, or is it comma seperated in the config?

    @Technius Nope! There is no way to cancel the drop, they have to be removed after they have appeared.
    @fffizzz Mine has no config. There are too many of these fixes in this tread now...

    Could you set it, so on death it reads their XP as 1 or 0? Then you dont need to worry about orbs at all. :) Thanks for the plugins BTW trying them out till better options come available.

    I have compiled a custom server jar with code included from bukkitnerd that disables the xp orbs totaly its build 1149 + xp orbfix. enjoy

    I did about anything I could do. I installed the OrbRemoval and DisableOrbs plugins. Disabled PvP. Inserted the edited jj.class in minecraft_server.jar. Cleaned up all existing orbs using this tool.

    And still, without fail, my relatively crowded 40 slot server (with craftbukkit #1149 now) starts lagging like crazy within 15 minutes after start (usually around the time a player dies from other causes). It never did that before 1.8, and even after 1.8.1's release it ran relatively smooth for a day.

    if you read up........ at my previous post is your solution its custom bukkit it will run all your stuff still.....

    I have no reason to believe it'll work any better than the 100 other solutions I've been trying which people said worked. I rather wait for a real Minecraft patch and enable godmode for everyone on the server in the meantime.

    I run 2 servers with 36 players on each at all time........ i simply had to come up with solution.

    Windoom smp1 and Windoom smp2

    Just because i dont have some purple badge on my name please dont assume im some random idiot. It is fixed with that custom server jar .... use it and just be thankfull that your one of the only ones that bothered to listen to some one that doesnt have purple name tag.
