I've seen a few client mods (such as ZanMiniMap that allow users to have maps/minimaps viewable on their computers, but I'm surprised that no one has a map mod that would allow spout clients to see a similar map on a properly enabled server.
The Spout and Spoutcraft APIs are still in a hardcore development change. Lahwran, the ZanMini maintainer has already said that the map will be ported in due time, once the Spout APIs are ready.
