Hi all! - I just installed the newest version of craftbukkit ( build 1060 ) and Essentials (v2.5.7, full version, http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/ge...n-of-useful-commands-and-features-1000.15312/ ) I installed craftbukkit manually. I have already tried getting another world. I got this with the world it generated itself, and with the costum map I want to play on it. - And I can't get on my server. Maybe I did also port forward wrong, because I don't know how to do it correct on a Cisco router, but I tried something and it should work i think. - This is my server.log (a few of the things are in dutch, I can't change it) http://pastebin.com/pG1y0UNQ There are 2 errors inside of it but I don't know what they mean (well, I see only 2 errors, maybe there are more which I didnt notice) - In the cmd I get a warning: - [Warning] config broken for xmpp - there is a .jar from the essentials plugin called EssentialsXMPP.jar so I guess the config file of that is broken, I don't know how though, I haven't changed anything inside of it. - I am using the latest version of java (v1.6.0_26 - v6 update 26), I got my server to work earlier, but with another router and another version of craftbukkit and essentials (Well, I think that its another version of craftbukkit and essentials). And windows 7 home premium 64 bit. - The cmd tells me that the server should work, because it does everything it should and then it says 'done'. But when I try to connect to my server I get this error: Failed to connect to the server. Connection timed out: connect And I don't have more info for you. I hope someone can help me with this. ~chris0744
I, too, have a Cisco router. Mine is a Linksys E2000, I believe most Cisco Linksys Routers have the same Setup, so is yours a Linksys?
Why did you edit your post? If I had known this is the problem I wouldn't have made my comment. EssentialsXMPP is a chat-type thing, not sure what it does, but XMPP stands for Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol. You don't need that. EDIT: If deleting that doesn't fix anything, then please tell me.
1, I editted because when I made the post I thought *I'd better add some more information so people can help me better' so thats what I did 2, It doesn't fix the problem. The 2 errors in the server.log still excist, but I don't get the warning about XMPP in the cmd anymore, so it fixed that error.
Ok.. First of all.. When installing Essentials You only really need.. the: Essentials.jar EssentialsSpawn.jar And if you want Chat Formatting. EssentialsChat.jar The other 2 If you do not know what these do or how to use them.. don't use them. EssentialsXMPP.jar EssentialsGOIP.jar As for EssentialsProtect.jar If you are using WorldGuard. Do not use EssentialsProtect. If this does not help.. Can I get a list of plugins that you are running on the server please?
Well, I only have Essentials atm, because i want to play costum maps on it and i just want more commands So now I have all the Essentials.jar except EssentialsXMPP So I need to remove all the Essentials except Essentials.jar and EssentialsSpawn.jar ??
Try that yes.. For commands you only need Essentials.jar and EssetnialsSpawn.jar. Essentials.jar gives you all the commands.. EssentialsSpawn.jar lets you set your spawn location and controls weather or not you want to respawn at beds or spawn. Try Just those too.. Start the server.. see what happens.
Well, atleast I can get on the server now.. messed something up with the ip also xD but other people can't join, maybe i port forwarded wrong? But the server.log still has those errors.
The errors in the top post look like EssetnialsProtection.jar Errors. You have removed this as well? And yes.. If they cant connect to your server.. You need to forward you ports. Open the windows start memu. > Search cmd > Open command promp > type ipconfig Look for your Ipv4 address. (192.168.1.XX) This is what IP you Rout to.. And you open port 25566 Log into your Router. 192.168.1.1 Default user name: admin Pass: admin (Lynksys routers.)
I know how to do that... but in the setup screen i dont really know how to do it ;s - When I go to applications & gaming, I see 4 things: 'Port Filtering' 'Port Range Forwarding' 'Port Range Triggering' 'DMZ' - I don't know where I should fill in something and what I should fill in. Port range forwarding sounds like where I should fill it in, but I see this there: - Port Range Start | end -- Protocol ---IP Adress -- Enable 0 to 0 -- TCP, UDP or both -- 0.0.0.0 -- 'a button to enable it' - And I did it earlier on another router, and there it worked, but that looked more like what I see when I click Port Range Triggering: - Triggered Range -- Forwarded Range -- -- Start Port - End Port -- Start Port - End Port -- Protocol --Enable 0 to 0 -- 0 to 0 -- TCP, UDP or BOTH -- 'a box to enable it' - Well, I filled in 25565 at every 'o' at the Port Range Triggering, and chose Both at 'Protocol' and I enabled it, but that doesnt work. - And I think this is my router type: Cisco EPC3925
First thing you see when you click applications and gaming. That page.. Just fill in one of those lines.. Put Minecraft for the name. Open port 25565 on you Ipv4 address. Very first page when you click Applications and gaming..
I can't even fill in a name... The very first page when I click applications and gaming is the 'Port Filtering' page. When I fill that in it still doesn't work. And how do I open port 25565 on my Ipv4 adress? ;s I don't know what it is lol :a
Please take a screenshot of your Port Filtering page and post it on tinypic, then give me a link (or embed it into a comment).
You need to forward the port to your Ipv4 adress. From the windows start menu. type in cmd and open the command prompt. From the command prompt type ipconfig Look for your Ipv4 address and put that in the port forwarding ip area.
