    Try without WorldGuard and WorldEdit and see if you still have the issue. I think they conflict right now.

  4. I have a huge problem: After I have installed spout my whole chests are completely empty even though they were protected (lwc) and I were the only one who had access to them?

    So the developers of the mods have to adjust their code so it will work with you plugin, am I getting that right now?

    The current Spout version is incompatible with the newer Cb-Versions. Spout is causing some kind of End of Stream after joining. So you have to choose between Spout or the latest Cb-Version.

    Please, I still can't use Spout on my server. Ppl connecting with BukkitContrib crashes/lag the server.

    You said a fix was on the way, but still nothing :(

    So is there no way to use the SpoutCraft client with mods? If thats the case it really limits my ability to use it as I need to use Optimine to make my minecraft experience more playable.

    When will we see a recommended build for SpoutAPI? I don't like building against anything but recommended.
    Run the Spout Launcher, enable developer builds in the options. The newer versions have OptiFine built in.
    I got that on 32bit from a unstable developer build. Have you tried downloading the stable build release about an hour ago? That worked for me, otherwise try running via the .bat instead of double clicking.

    Did all that. I can retry again though.

    I had this working about 3 or 4 days ago... now it doesn't work no matter what I try! I tried deleting everything and redownloading, deleted the .spoutcraft folder and starting again. Running via the .bat method and even tried double clicking and I get the same everytime...

    I enabled developer builds in the options and my mods are not loaded and OptiFine options are not built in. Clearly their must be another step?

    The developer builds may not be downloading correctly in your launcher, I had problems with downloading the developer builds in the first release of Spout.

    Try downloading the latest developer build directly from their Jenkins (click here).

    This is just a random suggestion for the future as I noticed that custom scripted blocks and menus is on the to-do list for Spout. I think that you guys should implement Rhino (Java-based ECMAScript engine) to handle these scripts. It would allow you to offer some security to users while still offering most functionality that would be needed to handle most any block/gui addition.

    I think giving servers the ability to run raw Java on a user's computer would lead to a lot of griefing. I have a feeling you guys would use a scripting engine for those anyways, figured Rhino would be a plug-able alternative to developing your own.

    When my players join with BukkitContrib, after moving, they are kicked with "END OF STREAM." The error in console looks like this:

    I'd rather have them receive the message "This server requires Spout!" (etc.), but I cannot get this to work.
     
  26. Just to be sure, the client additions will be piped from the server right? Like downloading class files (or a jar of all the server's client mod class files) when connecting, just to be sure the client only runs what the server wants?

    Some of the things I've read almost sound like the player would need to install a client half of a plugin for certain complete experiences with your client plugin API.

    Just to answer... I believe that the Client Plugins will be like Mods, and you can add them in, but Servers are able to control which Client Plugins you are allowed to use. Client Plugins probably will not be able to add new blocks to a server or anything like that (But Can In SP), and their features will servers will be like X-Ray or Flying or some Mod that can operate with servers XD.

    Do the users *have* to get the client mod if the server has the Bukkit plugin?

    Also, is it worse to have this plugin and a user not have the client mod, than it is to not have the plugin at all? For example, will the plugin take out the "Your skill has increased!" message and replace it with the popup notification, or will this plugin leave the text message as it is and add a popup notification?
