Okay. I have my Bukkit Server on a dedicated host.

But the world save is getting bigger and bigger. The backups are now 120mb each one.

How can i clean the world save. Please help me, its my server going to get all the way to 1gb+?

    Hello!

Your world file is going to get bigger and bigger as your map expands. If you want to save space I recommend limiting the amount of backups your server does. There is no fix to increasing file sizes in backups because its natural to have big backups!

    Good Luck!

use a border plugin so people cant expand the map any further, and lol thats nothing my world is 200mb+ not to mention the nether

Also. I make the world border now. To 550 Radius. What that means? Also, how much space would my server get with that radius?

550x550 is about kinda small thats one 'map' sized area
    my current map is 13GB

It's saying that the world will expand 550 blocks in every direction. That's as far it will go. Also what the above dude said.

What if the world save get to big. What if you need to do a backup quick lol

Also, does the size of the map increase the lag?

Sometimes. And I have a backup plugin that backups the world(s) every 30 minutes if there are players online, the whole backup backups the worlds AND plugins, and is usually a total of 237mb after compressed into a .zip file. I've got 5 worlds right now. All at least 3000 blocks or so out from spawn. One is 12k blocks out from spawn. I haven't really noticed any lag yet though for just running off of my laptop.

Edit: The backup usually only takes around 5-20 seconds if it's deleting a backup that's out of date (set it to hold only so many backups at one time)

There is a plugin called EpicZones which might help you with it, although the bigger the map the more lag because of more chunks to load you can easily fix this with a plugin called performance tweaks.

    Hope this helped...

I meant if you your server got griefed by some problem or reason and you need to make a backup to the server. It will take a lot to replace the world

doesnt take much to fix. I have big brother and world guard. I never need to rollback the map unless they somehow get their hands on world edit
