I've noticed that when I'm running Bukkit it seems to really choke the server whenever anyone goes off the bounds of the current map and creates new chunks; something that is quite a problem. Often times it will cause the server to "rollback", going to a previous state and reverting any changes that my players have made, as it doesn't seem to save the map when it crashes in this fashion. I don't have the most powerful server, however, I can verify that the server copes fine with chunk generation on a vanilla server.

Is this a known issue and does anyone else have the same problems? It's a real inconvenience because I want to use Bukkit, but if none of my member can explore the map it will be a bit of an issue.

How many players? What's your specs? How are you running your world? Filling out this thread and replying here with the answers would probably help.

I usually have at most seven players. However, I don't think my specs should be an issue as I can run the vanilla server just fine. The fact that bukkit seems to kill the server when anyone walks off the map seems to be an issue with bukkit, not my hardware.
