PlayerLogger v2 - Log your players!
tested on RB #1000!

[Description]
PlayerLogger is a lightweight plugin that stores a log for every player that joins your server! Now, you have proof to ban someone, in simple, read-able, properties files! You can turn on and off what you actually want or don't want to log, in the main configuration file!

[Usage]
Put the PlayerLogger.jar into your plugins folder, run the plugin! It'll create a new folder, where the config and Users folder will be located.
(Scenario) Let's say that PLAYER1 was accused of saying, "YOU LOOK LIKE A MUFFIN".(Pretend that muffin is a curse word or something offensive). We would go ahead and open his log file, press CTRL+F for the find tool, and type in relevant search terms like, "muffin" "look like" "you look like a muffin", something along those lines. Huzzah! If the search was successful, you can go ahead and kick/ban/hug PLAYER1!

As you can see, it uses the format:
[worldname][playername][did action] [what time they did it]

[Changelog]
*v0.1 - Initial release of plugin.
*v0.1a - Added multi-world support, it now logs with the [worldname] tag in front of the log.
*v0.2 - Updated for latest RB, added a timestamp.

right, would there be a way for you to add a rollback command without using Mysql? that'd make this plugin absolutely perfect, I do like the abillity to have absolute proof to ban (As I personally would not ban otherwise) but in case of griefing I want to be able to revert any dammage caused.

 

so...are you adding coordinates? Would love that.

 

will this log chat in for example an mcMMO /p party chat? or Towny town chat?

 

Is this plugin working for Craftbukket v1000?

The plugin would be a lot more helpful if it logged the coordinates. Could you make that happen? :I

if block coordinates record ,even more perfect

 

Could you also add an option to the config file to have everything in one log file? I don't use this for block logging(place and break but banned ones I log.) but to log other things like the chat and player deaths, it would be easier to read chat entries if it's in a single file, you could also add an option you can use with the single file option to allow you to roll the logs like on a daily basis or weekly basis.

Hi, i got a few questions about the config:

LogBannedBlocks=true

Wich blocks are considered banned blocks? This is configurable? I'll love to see that feature if not!

I tried deactivating log block place and then placing lava, water and tnt, but none of these was logged.

Same here, how this opt works? I deactivated it but it keeps logging the /login of the users (and their passwords too).

Nice idea btw, it's just what i need!.

 

If you put the file in your Public folder, you should be fine there.

 

so i saw that people asked for a way to have the location of the block with coordinates, you never replied. Is there a way you could add it?

 

Should also add the coords.

I would love to use it but it does nothing but creating the config and userfolder.
But no logging at all.
