Need help creating server

Hi guys. I'm in search of good soul to help me. I'm kind of new to minecraft and bukkit. I'm running a server for me and my friends over hamachi for about 2 weeks, using bukkit latest release. It works fine, but I don't know how to use plugins and set permissions.yml (I don't know what it does, but from all I read, it looks important).

I would like that my server could have this features:
I want to have 3 types of users: Admin (the would be me), Advanced User (trusty friends who stay on almost all the time) and Default User (everybody else).
I want Admin to do anything - teleport, fly, create items, edit blocks of anybody and cant be hit by lower users (dying to mobs would be ok, otherwise it would spoil all the fun or at least if i could enable and disable dying to mobs), protect his chests and open everybody chests.
Advanced User could do some things (editing blocks of default users but not admin, invulnerable to default users but not admin and mobs, create some items, maybe teleport and fly).
Default Users could only protect his blocks and chests.

I would like to have block protection on and off too, because sometimes we do some global projects that everybody helps building and block protection would make it difficult to do. (Maybe protect the blocks and chests on an area set as user's home).

If there is a tutorial and recommended plugins for doing all this stuff or if somebody could explain me step by step, I would be gratefull and I can assure that your place in heaven/elysium/valhala would be assured. Thanks for the attention XD

Btw, I have Windows 7 x64 and running my server over hamachi, with Java 6 (1.6.0_26-b03) and my Bukkit Build is the #1000 (latest by now)

 

For your ranks, I'm not experienced with the PermissionsBukkit (the permissions.yml) but I am experienced with Permissions 3.x, a plugin. This should help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sexbDdVgdS4&feature=player_embedded

For block protection use WorldEdit and WorldGuard.

Thank you very much - thanks to that tutorial I understood how to use the Permissions plugin and I'm putting some plugins to use ^^
