    Powered Cages - Do More with Redstone​
    Version 1.0.0​
    Powered Cages bring you small, but nifty features that can help you build astonishingly fun, or extremely useful devices. Build mob arenas or automated mob grinders, the choice is yours. With Powered Cages, I bring you the power to spawn mobs practically anywhere, without the use of annoying commands. There is no "aiming at the spawner" and typing "/mspawn", you just right click the Monster Spawner with the loot or drop of the mob you are trying to spawn, and watch the magic happen.​
    By default, creepers, animals*, and other mobs** are turned off in the Powered Cages preferences, for obvious (or not so obvious) reasons. To make changes to these preferences, power down your server after running it once with the plugin installed. Then, modify the "poweredcages.txt" file as much as your heart desires. Boot up your server, and you're good to go!​
    *Animals include: Chickens, Cows, Pigs, and Sheep.​
    **Other mobs include: Wolves, Slimes, and Zombie Pigmen.​
    By default, animals are disabled due to the fact that this can be exploited for wool blocks, which may ruin an economy-based server. (Actually, pretty much any of this can be exploited, it's best that you don't install this on an economy-based server) Other mobs are disabled for combined reasons, one being that you could easily spawn wolves and never have to worry about being bothered, and two being that slimes and zombie pigmen are rare on the surface.

    Alternatively, you can use the wget command to download the most up-to-date version of Powered Cages before starting up your server.​
    Features
    • The ability to pick up Monster Spawners with a diamond pickaxe.
    • Monster Spawners default to spawning Zombies instead of Pigs.
    • The ability to change a Monster Spawner type without use of commands.
    • The ability to spawn a Monster Spawner's creature by powering it with Redstone.
    • The ability to "vacuum" up nearby, loose item content with a Chest by powering it with Redstone.

    Changelog
    Version 1.2.0
    • Changed the configuration file to "shared.yml" for shared use. My upcoming mods will also use this file to store preferences!
    • Added the ability to configure and disallow specific monster types. Before, it would only allow "animals", "creepers", and "others" and always allowed zombies, skeletons, and spiders.
    • Monster spawners are now less wasteful. If you already have changed the monster type to Creepers, you will not be able to waste more gunpowder drops!
    • Vacuum chests now check for items in adjacent blocks, rather than calculating the distance using the distance formula. This would make the process a lot snappier, and return quicker results by the nanosecond.

    Yes way :D and an update is coming soon to configure almost every aspect of them. I hadn't quite figured out the whole Configuration thing, but soon enough, the preferences will be within categories to make it a lot easier to configure.

    I also plan to add the piston launcher that launches entities up in the air quite like the piston mod did before they actually came out in 1.7. I hope you enjoy!

    The piston thing? or both? haha what a coincidence. Well my target audience happens to be people that are looking for a more simple plugin, so many features like permissions and etc. are unsupported. But by all means, post that video ;)

    Pistons and Redstone are planned xD
    It's unbelievable. I'm thinking "I never say this here". Some hours before release an other guy came up with this ...

    Well I'll be sure to strive for more individuality so that people can make a pick based on certain features. Although if you need any help on anything I'm more than willing to. I plan on releasing the source code once I make a few solid updates to it.

    I think this topic required a bump, because after being moved to the "plugin releases" forum, it decided not to show up. Let's hope it made it here, and give me some feedback ;)

    this is not plugin related but can you make a redstone plugin like vertical redstone that would be awesome
    with some exta features like redstone signal is stronger, a example like now its like 7 blocks or some thing and with the plugin its like 20 of can be choosable with config no premnissions needed
