    Description:

    ItemCraft is a Bukkit mod that allows adding new item and block types, crafting and furnace recipes, and custom tree generators and more. Using a Modloader and SettingsGUI interface it allows subplugins known as ICPlugins to be loaded to support client mods. ICPlugins can be created by translating a client mod using the ICTranslator ICplugin. Using a ModloaderMP interface (ported by krnlyng/liar) it allows porting multiplayer mods to bukkit.

    Installation & Usage:
    • Back up your world(s). Just in case.
    • ItemCraft.jar goes in same folder as craftbukkit
    • IC plugins go into ItemCraft/ICPlugins folder under craftbukkit. (folder is autocreated the first time)
    • uncomment (remove #) in front of all plugins you want to use in plugins.ics (autocreated in ItemCraft/ICScript)
    • Make sure you have the recommended version of craftbukkit in the title - since this is a mod of that version in particular.
    • Delete/rename the META-INF folder inside craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar (Use some decent zip program (e.g. 7zip) that can do it.)
    • All players on the server needs to have the client mods installed
    • If you use the 16 bit entity id packet mod (in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it)), All players need (flan's unofficial) ModLoaderMP client mod
    • All players also need the 16 bit entity id packet mod (overwrites a ModLoaderMP's class so make sure ModLoaderMP is installed first) in case you use new entites (only ICMCreatures need it) If decide not to use the packet mod, you can turn it off putting this in your startup file: false setEntityIDPacketMod
    • Sometimes you get block/item ID conflicts, between plugins. You then need to set the conflicting ids in the startup script using setID command: example. They have to be set before the plugin that uses them is loaded. Note also that there is typically a props file on the clientside you have to edit the ids on to be the same as well.

      Suggestions of mods to port
      Vote here not in this thread anymore (it gets lost in all the other stuff)

      Reporting errors:
      • Read known issues - don't report those.
      • State the version of CB, ItemCraft and ICPlugin(s) you have problems with
      • If your client crashes, start the client from command line so that you get the error report.
      • Make sure the mod(s) works in SSP First before you report any errors here.
      • You are more likely to get a response if you describe the problem in more detail and do some testing yourself first of under what circumstances it occurs
      • Do not ask for uploads of minecraft.jar.
      • Do not pm me.
      • If you have problems installing, you are likely doing something wrong. Make sure you've followed the instructions exactly, read the FAQ and Wiki. If that doesn't work you can always ask in the thread, while I will likely not reply, there are others who can help you with your problem. But at least try to get it working yourself first.

    Miners Helmet - works but not perfect :( When i craft a helmet it works perfekt but after i use Essentials "/back" command its broken ( no light at all ) until i restart minecraft, /warp /home seems to work fine. Maybe its only me ...

    EDIT: OMG.... when i hit " c " with and without textbox the light goes ON and OFF ...:)
     
  3. Issues like these are bound to crop up, its not possible to run every combination of plugins / mods. I'm not running Essentials - so I haven't come across this one - it'll probably earn a mention on the wiki though.

    Just a thought for those currently porting mods over - Each mod will need updating when MC ver. 1.7 (and beyond) comes out. It is worth considering that there will be periodic maintenance required to keep these things running - are you up for it ? Your fans will be clamouring for their favourites come the update - as we all have with @asdaarg to keep Itemcraft uptodate.

    I've linked to @Asymetrikon 's ported modlist. @icephantom yes to ease the maintenance I suggested that anyone who ported any mods post a short list of anything out of the ordinary you did to make the plugin work. That will speed up the porting the next time.

    Ok i uninstalled Essentials and tested it again - its NOT the /back command - my fault sorry, so it has nothing to do with Essentials at all... but

    EDIT: OMG.... when i hit " c " with and without textbox the light goes ON and OFF ...:)

    Neither of the two methods are implemented in fake modloader. I'll implement them in short.
     
  9. Hhmmmmmmm !
    That explains it - when the Minecraft site comes back, you might wish to visit this page about the mod again HERE
    It will tell you that as default, pressing 'C' toggles the light on / off, and pressing 'V' toggles fog on/off. (Don't know what fog is ? Try pressing 'V' underwater with a helmet on)

    Ah ok. Then ill wait. Maybe i could take out the Helmet completly.
    But the other thing i cant i think without breaking the Mod.

    getUniqueSprite works now.
    addArmor is still showing the Error. Do i still have to change something?
    And a new Error occured with the new Itemcraft as Reference that was ok before.

    Ah ok i guess as it has todo with Inventory i can comment it out.

    I tested Itemcraft alone and it worked .... also with toomanyitems
    now I pasted in my plugins and now when iĀ“m trying to give me one of those items i get kicked out off mc and this error shows up:

    As far as i know MicrocubeMod has nested classes. The classes with a $.
    They dont get translated. I still dont know what part they play in all of this.
    Maybe thats the reason youre failing.

    Thx for the feedback, afai understand it, i cant really uncomment that line. that's the material definition for the microcube "special" block, and that one is needed i assume.

    I'll call it a night for today, maybe it's wiser to start from scratch and port a simple mod that does NOT utilize the extended attributes of a block in the chunk for storing the cube setup and materials.

    i downloaded the test server and not all blocks(such as stained glass) seem to be in the smp game. they show up in single player though.

    For the addArmor command I just simply added an index, aka 1, 2, 3, instead of addArmor("something"). Seems to work.

    The miner helmet mod had similar code, just changed the ModLoader.addArmor("something") to 1, and any other times it appeared, I would increment the value so there were no repeats.

    Ok so I downloaded it and everything works but when i log on the mo' creatures works. But when i use TMI and try to get slopes it gives this internal error:

    If i cant use the give command how do i get the blocks without crafting them? or do i have to craft them?

    I just looked at the addArmor method that belongs to the client side ModLoader, and all it did was return an index of an arrayList

    Hehe and again i realized that i still have much to learn.

    Edit: Beekeeping plugin loads fine. But i somehow deleted the client and made a fresh installation of mc too.
    Minecraftforum is still down too. So ill go to sleep for now and Test it tomorrow.

    addArmor was added to fake modloader (its just a dummy because it adds something to an array to a client only class (RenderPlayer) and the server doesn't render jack squat). Perhaps you got some other error. Rather than just posting the line, post the error message. Also if you press alt+enter you get hints on how to resolve an error.

    MapData is probably just holding data about what colour to render on notch maps. Comment it out. When you search for a field/function that starts with P,Q_,R_,S_,T_ or U_ in the maps only search for what follows it. For 8-10 add .class

    Nested classes most probably get translated since jad just puts them inside their parent classes, so they should turn up inside the decompiled parent class java file. If they don't, one could try java decompiler or jode. split up the run.sh/translate.bat and take out the jad step.
