  1. Plugin category: Misc

    Minecraft version: 1.8

    Suggested name: TorchLight

What I want: I'm looking for a plugin that shows lights when a torch is held or when a specific block is placed using this API or made from scratch: https://github.com/Qveshn/LightAPI

In the config you can add what items should emits light for example a torch when it's held or when enchanting table is placed. Should be split into two sections: blocks that are held or blocks when that aee placed that should show light.

Ideas for commands: No commands needed for this plugin.

Ideas for permissions: No permission needed for this plugin.

When I'd like it by: Take your time, don't rush.

  2. Could you please stop bumping this plugin? If nobody has answered your post, nobody will, because maybe noboy wants to do it.
Also, I think bumping in this amount is against the rules.
And if you had even googled for 10 secondfs, you would find this: https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/lightsource

Rule #3 here implies they can bump every 24 hours.

  4. @CryoCrafter idk why you have to be so rude, I've been on this forum since 2013, you can check my registration date so I know the rules, just like @Jeyge said, anyone can bump a post every 24 hours, you can check my bumps, I made sure they're over 24 hours between each one. I have suggested plenty of plugins since 2013 and some plugins that I suggested, took a month or two months for someone to come forward and complete, if I see no interest, then I will let it go or alter my request. I have also tried all plugins that are similar, including this one that you suggested: https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/lightsource and it doesn't work, last time it was updated was 2014, the only similar plugin that I could find is on Spigot but only works with commands and uses the same API that I linked in my OP. I have contacted the author of that plugin but he is not interested in my suggestion.

Also, next time before linking a plugin to someone, please check the last update date and comments if it still works, because if you look in the comments of the plugin, you can clearly see it doesn't work.

I can maybe work on that, do you want it to be similar to the idea of Dynamic Lights (a feature in OptiFine)?
Also, why do you want it to emit light when blocks are placed, considering this is already a thing in Minecraft?

  6. @Reflxction Thanks for doing this request and yes, I'm looking for something like OptiFine feature but I would like it more brighter, maybe like level 13-14? I believe placed torch gives out level 14 of brighteness but don't quote and when it comes to block, I think OptiFine or maybe BLC also has a feature where some placed blocks give our light like Quartz ore and enchanting table and I think that would also be cool to include in the plugin, up to you, I'm mainly interested in the torch part.

@adi0115 While developing around in LightAPI and wandering around different resources I noticed that the aforementioned LightSource plugin was continued on Spigot for 2 more years, making it support 1.8 to 1.10.

    Here's the link: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/lightsource.2521/
Not entirely sure if I still need to develop it, tell me if you want me to.

  8. @Reflxction I have tried that plugin aswell, using latest version of LightAPI and LightSource was giving me internal server errors when using commands and it didn't work, downgrading LightAPI from 2019 update to a 2016 update, got LightSource to work but only the command lights, unfortunely that plugin doesn't have the option to create light while holding items, only when placed. So if you can, I would still like this plugin to be made.
