Hello. I am wanting to make a very unique server, and i need a special plugin. Plugin Name: Mine-opoly ? Miner Tycoon ? It is like a mix of: skyblock: starting with a cobble generator. prison: you have to grind your way to the top by selling what you have mined or farmed, or whatever way you found to make money. factions: you claim land but with deeds (books) and only within your 100x100 creative: starting on a blank plot of flat ground, just without creative mode. How will this work? Basically, a player starts out on a 100x100 "franchise" plot of land which is divided into 5x5 sections of property. they get 1 5x5 section to start out, and must use that small piece to make some money using a cobble generator and selling it to the server shop. once they have enough money, they can buy a property deed (a unique book that cannot be crafted!). with property deeds they can expand their claim making more room to either build cool stuff, or use to make room for larger money grinders! each time they expand their land, the next expansion cost more deeds than the previous expansion. There will be a scoreboard like skyblock, where they determine the size of your island on how many blocks make it up (i think?).. so in the same way, how many blocks you have placed in your land determines the size of your island. I'd also like another scoreboard option where you can see the total amount of money generated (sold to shop) by a player. if possible, a small chat prefix or sufix (configurable) with 1 through 100, letting people know how advanced your franchise is, 100 being completely claimed. This is a very advanced plugin i understand if no one makes it, but its worth a shot! honestly there are a lot of miscillaneous features i would like to add on top of this. This pictures is a Top-Down look at the mapping of the plugin. there is a 5x5 path in between the franchises for players to venture around and look at other players franchises.
Hmm, I'm interested. It wouldn't be at the top of my priorities, but I'll certainly work on it! More details would be appreciated. (Note, last two times I tried to state this, my post has been deleted. Meant to say this awhile ago). Anyway, due to life circumstances, this cannot be a top priority, and if someone would like to take over, I wouldn't mind. But I'll certainly get started. I like an idea of a server being able to setup their own tycoon. Certainly would be a throwback to the old days I used to play tycoons.
thank you @gamma26 ! . It might be best to have world guard integration, that way i can manually make the regions. would require a lot less coding im sure, and i can always hire staff as "propery managers" which would be the ones managing the deeds and giving players their expansions.
Hmm, I'll certainly consider world guard integration. It may not be hard though to just have the coordinates designated stored in a database of sorts.
