i have recently made a minecraft bukkit server and decided to make a Economy world so i can play survival with my friends and others. i set up a shop region with worldguard and protected it so u wont be able to grief it and made other plots inside of it and made it so you can rent it out with AreaShop, the only problem is if you aren't oped after u buy the region u cant edit it and i don't want to op everyone that rents a plot because then they can edit not only their plot but the rest of the server and i do not want that. so i'm wondering if there is anyways after a player rents a region they can build on it

Hello @ianeater, I'm the author of AreaShop and would like to help you solve the problem. Could you show me the output of '/region info' off the region you are having trouble with, and also for the __global__ region and any other regions at the same spot.

Most likely you have set 'block-break' or 'block-place' to 'deny' at the global region or another high region, which prevents building anything in the AreaShop region.

I've recently given up on the server because of this problem and shut it down, i did have the global region set to deny any modification by players but i set the priority to -1 and the plots inside of the global region to 0, but i'm not sure if i also had to allow block placing in the plots, i thought if the user rented the plot they owned it so they could build on it, and if i allowed block placing in the plots, because they had higher priority than the global region anybody could build on them.

(side question, i had the plots setup to reset when the time ran out so all the blocks placed after renting the plot get deleted (which i like). Is there a way to make it so all the items in the plot are stored in a file somewhere and the player who was renting the plot could get their items back so if they were selling stacks of a rare item in a chest the item wouldn't get deleted because i imagine that would be very frustrating for the player) thank you for your help.

The flags on the global region were the problem, instead of setting buil/block-break/block-place to deny you can set 'passthrough' to deny, which lets it act as a normal region and prevents block placing in the whole world, without preventing other regions overriding it.
