I've been searching all over for a simple chest locking plugin and surprisingly I haven't found one which is compatible with 1.11 and fits the very barebones criteria that I am looking for. There's LWC and related plugins but they are relatively confusing for a newbie who is unfamiliar with the usage of commands. Even plugins like Lockette which do not really require commands are filled with unnecessary features like timers for doors and require orderly placed syntax on the signs to function. This is why I have come here looking for a noob-proof plugin which I assume would be easy to create. Plugin Catagory: Chest Protection. Minecraft Version: 1.11 Complete Details: [Details are not fully accurate. Something along these lines.] This plugin should only have 4 main commands. /protect -- If you're looking at a chest, it will protect it for you. [Looking at a chest is hovering the cursor over a block. Chests should be automatically protected on place. If another chest is added then the protection must be extended over to the double chest automatically.] Your chest is now protected. [^^That must show up in the actionbar. It's even better if you can make these messages configurable in the config file. But all messages for this plugin must show up in the new actionbar.] /unprotect -- This will remove the protection, from a chest. Your chest is now unprotected. /protectadd <username> -- This adds a player to the access list of the chest. <username> can now access this chest. /protectrem <username> -- Removes a user from the access list of the chest. <username> can no longer access this chest. Permissions: None. Ops should have access to all chests.
@Cubbled Lockette is as simple as it gets, and you don't really have to fiddle with the config. The options for the timers on doors doesn't affect gameplay much, and you don't have to change anything if you want it to be easy. The signs don't require so much syntax and they're very easy to use( right clicking a chest with a sign ).
Yes, but when it comes to adding more players a majority of newbies are stumped and get the syntax wrong most of the time This is a problem across servers. I was stumped by lockette too when I first joined a server which used the plugin. A plugin like this would make it much easier for new players and there is a real need for something like this. I really hope somebody picks up this request.
It would also be better if you can make it so that other blocks, based on block ID can also be protected in the config.
