Problem/Bug Essentials, Group Manager Problem?

For some reason, my server that runs on 1.7.10 worked fine for awhile but groupmanager kept crashing and all the ranks were gone and so were their permissions. It says in the logs to paste the error.log file to a essentials developer, here it is.

Have you edited it since you posted your problem?


Stop your server.
Start your server.
When it's fully started, stop it again.
Go in to your server files.
Go to the logs folder.
Open the file called latest.log.
Copy and paste the contents at http://pastebin.com/.
Post it there and then link the URL here.

I'm not seeing an error for GroupManager anymore. I also did not see an error when running your groups.yml through a parser.

 

@oceantheskatr Any idea what was the problem before and what I can do to prevent it from happening again?

 

The problem was in parsing your groups.yml, it'd be safer to edit it with in-game commands instead of editing the actual file if you don't know what you're doing.

Try this though:

There are some lines that have no value, like "inheritance: []". Try completely removing that line (only if that line has square brackets right beside each other though). There are a few others like that, go through your file and delete those.
