I have pex and essentialschat to manage chat/permission group. I want to have the prefix and nickname in chat, but I don't want the prefixes everywhere else. For example when i run the motd on join it says "Welcome back, [Admin] ~Pika!
However, I would rather it just said "Welcome back, ~Pika"
But I dont want chat to look like this "~Pika: Hi" I want it to be like "[Admin] ~Pika: Hi"
Is there any way I can do this without installing new plugins. If I can't then what plugin should I use?

I know I should be helping you but I am having troubles with plain Group Manager Prefixes are not coming up and players are not allowed to chat. Sense you have already set up your groups telling by your post it would be awesome if you could give me some help or a tutorial because I am lost tbh. :(

If you're using Essentials for MOTD, then it should say something like "Welcome back {DISPLAYNAME}! The closest you could get is changing it to "Welcome back {USERNAME}!" I believe.

The display name is the prefix + nickname or prefix + name
You can disable the prefix inclusion , if you're using essentialschat, by switching some true/false settings for modifying the displayname (first 10% of the settings file I think). However, this will then have the effect of removing the prefix in your chat, if you are using a [displayname] variable for formatting. But if you are using groupmanager+ essentialschat combined, you can use the {group} variable to display the groupname in the format (not the same as prefix, as all will be formatted the same) OR you can do group-formatting that lets you define the chat format for each group individually (Which is basically you copying the prefix from the permissions file for each group and using the same core format for the name and text in each one.
