I have a Night Hawk R7000 router. I'm kinda new to Netgear. However I am not new to port forwarding. I found out how to get to port forwarding on my new router and it looked sorta like my old router. I set it up with my static ip adress. I filled it out and click apply. I went to http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and it said Port 25565 is closed on (my public ip address). I have tried everything from turning of my firewall to trying different ports. I tried to contact netgear but they weren't any help. If there is ANYONE that can help please do. I have read articles to watch youtube videos. I have learned that some people have the same proble because of there internet provider or modem. Btw I know that this is not really the place to get tech support.

@awesomecop Are you sure the port is closed? Did you try running a test MC server instance? The site says my port is closed while it is open.
