    Hello all!

I was wandering, if some one can bring to Bukkit, the coolest of Risugami's Mod, the Shelf Mod.

    Here is the original description:

It would be awesome! Can you imagine stores with this? Maybe even players houses.

In my mind, this can't be so hard, should be easiest than the Vegetation Mod.

Here is the Link for the original Risugami Topic. Hoping that some nice soul could make this for us.

    Cya!

not really, the vegetation mod is a client mod too
it just sends the client info, this could be done, but users need a client mod aswell

Yes, Vegetation Port to Bukkit works perfectly!

    Why the shelf won't?

Just warn the players that are going into your server, that they need the Client-Side Mod too!

It's possible but requires a lot of work to make and maintain.

Why does everyone ask for their favorite mod to be ported? Don't get me wrong I love mods, but I have not seen many plugin develeopers personally port over a mod from the minecraft forum. Maybe its because the Bukkit staff is waiting for the official modding API to be released from Notch to make Bukkit officially support mods. I don't no much about mod to plugin conversion, but what from what I understand, when they do the conversion process they do it to work around Bukkit, since Bukkit itself doesn't support mods (don't hold me to this I may be wrong). But It's like Scyfi said, its too much work to maintain. You might as well wait for the Modding API to be released.

Seems to be a cool mod. I'll try to port it later, it shouldn't be that hard to make but we'll see.

Spawning the 9 small drops, displaying the GUI etc. are working perfectly, but they are currently affected by water. I have atm no idea how to prevent this :/

This would be awesome and I'm sure it can be done. Like Kostronor said, showcase is very similar. Maybe you shoud ask to narrowtux, the developer of Showcase. =)

Well if you use the showcase mod, the items will spawn in the glass block so they can't be flushed away by water. I have to spawn them on top of stairs.

This is not a probleme for me since I zone my shop with water flood to false! :D Maybe you could do a kind of zone around the stairs?

This idea is awesome, how do you palce stuff on the stairs, by right clicking?

there is a bukkit mod that ports over those slopes from that single player mod and it's like a framework which makes it really easy to port over client sided mods :D Can't remember what the name was tho

um, i actually just had an idea.
make a plugin which causes all items tossed ontop of a wooden stair block to never despawn, and boom:shelves.
