Create Mob Corpse

    Is it possible to create a mob's corpse?
    My line of thought would be to use a process similar to that of creating custom mobs:
    Clone the Mob class, remove all pathfinding/AI logic and you should have an empty husk, right?
    Then all that would be left is to "rotate" the mob so it lies on its side/back. Is this even possible to do?

    You cannot rotate a mob I'm afraid, unless you're using a forge server (will require clients to use a mod in order to join)

    @Feindbild @jeussa I don't think it's impossible. Hacky, yes. Can you do this with NMS? Honetly, idk.

    I don't know if this would be possible in 1.7 though.

    Does a mob have the sleeping animation?

    @ChipDev Well you can put players to bed but I don't know if you can do the same to mobs using packets or NMS.

    I found a "solution" that works at least partially for sheep, cows and pigs: calling it "Dinnerbone" and setting the name visibility to false.
