Can't send chat messages in Minecraft

Hi I am new to the forum but I had a server with you for a very long time. I am having trouble getting the chat to work. For some reason when I type regular chat it doesn't work. I made a video on this to give you more help but its kind a little tinker that is pissing me off. All I have in plugins are essentials w/ group manager, world edit, world guard, vault and Chest Shop.

What you've done is set your chat settings to Commands Only.

To resolve the issue, simply:

1) Press escape
2) Go to the options menu
3) Click "Chat settings"
4) Click "Chat" until it says "Shown"

Since you wanted to more about permissions I will teach you a couple of examples. For essentials I have learned that almost every permission is going to be essentials.<Permission>. <Permission> is pretty much the /command that you do. For example if you want to give a player /repair. The permission would be essentials.repair. Notice how I said that the permission is always similar to the command.
