    Merged a bunch of double posts.
    Suggestion: learn basic java first, then go on with trial and error, best way to learn.

    @Tecno_Wizard Sadly no i cant, in my middle school there are NO courses for java. It would make me so happy if there was a course for it though!

    @timtower Would a /heal , /feed command be basic?

    Sure, but it'll look like hieroglyphics if you can't read it properly.

    EDIT: And I wouldn't think a middle school had a course anyways, most kids probaly wouldn't attend and a middle school doesn't really strecth away from the core system of the originial subjects. If anything they'll make you stay a few hours after school if they had someone capable of teaching.

    Doesn't matter, as far as I'm aware it gets optimized anyway

    The way I learned was through Google. I would always think to myself "Hey, this is a pretty cool idea, I want to do it". Then I'd jump right in. As I got stuck with problems, I'd Google and then eventually figured it out. I've never read a book, never watched a video, but after 5 years, I like to think I'm pretty fluent ;)

    Essentials is terribly written? Where did you pick that up from? Have you ever benchmarked it? Did you ever go into the deeper concepts of it? I talked to KHobbits last weekend. I don't think you have any idea of what they put into the plugin.
    And if you still think it is terribly written, why don't you contact KHobbits on Skype? Not that hard to find. Tell him about what you think is to improve.

    Benchmarks aside, I'm not talking about performance (although they've got that covered by unnecessarily throwing exceptions).

    My issue is that the code itself is not very well organized, not at all commented or document, and doesn't offer any public way of extending or using it.

    iron768 You do not have too learn Java from your school. Look around online for some local programs or even online classes.

    Java courses go as slow as a koala, so I've heard.

    Challenge accepted.
