?

Should I bother with Per-World Plugin use, or just do permissions?

I hate doing permissions for staff, and players. (I'm really strict and like to go through EVERY permission, helps with abuse!)
I have multiple groups, because of separate worlds and would like to make my life easier by just allowing plugin access to specific worlds, without having to remove the permissions from other worlds/groups.
Like having a plugin like Grief Prevention in the Survival based worlds, but not in the Hub, or KitPvP world. (I already have the Survival based worlds sharing this, and cut my losses by using permissions.)
I KNOW HOW TO SET THIS UP WITH PERMISSIONS, SO DON'T TELL ME HOW TO DO IT WITH PERMISSIONS.
Please help me with getting PER-WORLD-PLUGINS.

I have a minigames world, and would like to just use essentials, world guard, and any of my minigames plugins in that world. I dont want the mini games plugins to be accessable anywhere else in the server, not even by staff. I know how to do this with permissions, but thats a bother because I have 20+ groups, and they change per world.

Jelkins001 I'm not sure there are too many per-world plugins out there that meet what requirements other than being per-world that you may want out of them. It does get a bit frustrating. I've tried this myself, didn't get very far. I tried making custom plugins to do the job, because I wasn't finding any other public plugins to do it. However, if you can do it, I recommend using permissions. I'd say the only downside to it is that some plugins give you a "no permissions" message if you don't have permission to break a block or something, and that can get really annoying if you're trying to go for the fake-network kind of server.

pookeythekid There only is 1, and it is far from flawless, mostly because bukkit isn't made for per world plugins.
Jelkins001 Permissions are your best shot, or multiple servers.

Yeah that doesn't work... tried that one. Thanks though.

UGH... I hate doing permissions, and Ive done most of them already. I hate to go that route but it seems best in the long run. I just don't want to put all this permissions work in only to have to re-do all of it when Spigot comes out (thats if its NOT bukkit compatible).

I don't feel like making my own plugin, thats for sure. Thanks for the help.

Jelkins001 There is this thing called a "Bukkit bridge" that Bukkit alternatives have, which makes Bukkit plugins compatible with the alternatives. I'm not sure how buggy or functional it is, and I'm even less sure if Spigot has one, but I guess it's worth looking into if you don't want to redo all the permissions and stuff. And anyway, correct me if I'm wrong, permissions are formatted relatively the same throughout permissions plugins. It'd just be a whole lot of copying and pasting to do.
