Solved IT wont allow me to become op so i want to figure out how to shut it down without console.

Ok guys. So i figured out how to set up bukkit for my server. I do, i set it up and boom somehow the server is running by its self. I cant shut it down i have no idea how to op my self. And when i try to start up the server it says this...
Perhaps there is already a server running on that port?
How do i fix this please i need help.

 

What Operating System are you using?
What startup command did you use to start the server?

That error message means it is already running on that port (most-likely 25565) and will not start another server using the same port.

LHammonds I figured out how to fix it, i just had to go to the task manager and end the running java program. But thanks for trying though.

 

Are you sure that killing the server will do a graceful shutdown saving worlds, players etc?
