I heard from the minecraftonline server that they have this feature, that they built themselves called an hourly gift. Basically, for every hour you stay in the server, you get 1 item out of many different items you can receive. I did try personally asking if I could use their feature, but they declined. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to figure out this, as it seems basic. In fact, permissions probably wouldn't have to be used, and you could just configure it to have a list of items that are given out into the players' inventories over a set amount of time, with making a server message that says who got what from the hourly gift. Or maybe make a command to opt out of getting an hourly gift. It seems like a mod like this would also keep the players coming back for more. I would gladly appreciate if someone could make such a plugin.
This is a very interesting idea. Curious as to how to get the plugin to have a random list of all blocks one could receive.
