I would like a plugin that if a player connects to a server that is linked to another server's hub via BungeeCord, It will override the player's minecraft instance from ex. Vanilla 1.7.10 To Tekkit 1.6.4. How this plugin would work is that if a player is attempting to connect to a server that does not support their current minecraft version or lacks required mods, etc. The server's database will request to override the player's current minecraft instance with another instance that can be configured via plugins folder. Q: Does Craftbukkit or Minecraft Itself support overriding or send packets of information to a player's client to temporarily modify minecraft's internal application files and once the player disconnects, the server's customized instance would be removed from the player's minecraft instance until the player decides to reconnect again? In case this description was difficult to comprehend, I would consider viewing this visual diagram I created. Diagram.png

This will not work. If I understand you correctly, some people could just have plugins that hacked peoples computers when you join, understand? They'd have to join via a Tekkit 1.6.4 Client to get on to your server.

This would not work if the client has less info than the server. If the client runs Tekkit, and the server is Vanilla, then it could be done. If it were vice-versa, then no.

Could it work if it would not change your minecraft client files on your computer, but instead, your minecraft client would be running from files from a specified server's ftp database temporarily until you decide to disconnect from the server and it will revert the minecraft client's file destination to the original .minecraft file on your computer? Anyways, if someone managed to use this plugin as a virus, it would only infect the ftp server.

kirbsrob I'm afraid I'm not entirely sure what you are saying. The client uses its own files, the server uses its own files. The only interaction is Packets. Sending a packet to tell the client to change some folder is impossible without a modded client that accepts those kinds of packets. Tekkit sends more packets than vanilla MC, and those could simply be weeded out, but if you send a Tekkit packet to a non-tekkit client, it won't know how to deal with it.

This is not possible with craftbukkit.
