Use 'localhost' to connect to your server

You can use 'localhost' or '127.0.0.1' or '0.0.0.0' as Champ_PL said, but remember that this IP works just for you, if you want someone else to connect to your server it will be far more complicated.
Hope that's all what you need :)

Port forwarding is done in the router configuration, you need login and password to router (not to wifi network!) and there should be something like 'Port Forwarding'.
camrynschoon Please post your Craftbukkit version, Minecraft client version and server.properties file (and maybe list of plugins). We can't help you without knowing this.

First, what version of craftbukkit are you using?
Next, What version of Minecraft are you launching?

also, portforwarding is not required if you are joining from the same machine you're hosting on.

Probably your ISP disabled portforwarding through your router.
If you cannot portforward in some other way. Try these solutions below:

    1.) Download uTorrent/BitTorrent
    2.) Complete the Installation
3.) Go to Prefrences --> Connections
4.) Go to listening port and change it to 25565 (minecraft port)
    5.) Save and done!
    6.) Open your server

As long as utorrent/bittorrent are open, The port is open.
