Ok i installed the new bukkit and since im running 64 i changed the code the server loads no problem(no mods enabled) So i start the game it goes into a free fall for 2 minutes while it is loading the thing maybe longer depending on person. After it loads i cant destroy pigs or cows or hurt anyone etc. I tried destroying a block it works but it drops nothing and not until i reload i get the item there. So i was wondering how i could fix this i ran a server before with mmo mod and permissions mod then the server crashed and big gliches after running world guard and that so i had to make a new one. I run the crappy mc server atm thats from the site and i want to get back my bukkit one so i can run the mods so can any one help me fix this problem so i can host a server again and start running mods with no problem like i did before.

Did you remove the plugins for this new server?

can you post your console startup output?

Is it possible you've overlooked spawn protection? Try moving a good 50 blocks away from where you spawn (at least 16 blocks anyway) and try destroying/building something then.

Also idk how i would have spawn protection like over looked it have no probelm on the minecraft server that i had to download from mc.net Ik i can transfer my world to the new server, tried the brand new one the bat made still didnt work on the world i have on my server running atm i moved the spawn using mcedit and just moved the world whenever im testing the bat server to try to fix it

No, don't think so: "After it loads i cant destroy pigs or cows or hurt anyone etc. I tried destroying a block it works but it drops nothing and not until i reload i get the item there." Vanilla spawn protection doesn't stop mob damage or pvp.
@SuicidalFate0 What version of java are you running, and what version of CB are you running? What else is running on your computer? What are your server's specs?

It is a problem for everyone else some people just never stop falling, and im running the newest java i just finish this computer last week and all i have running is skype (no problem before) minecraft, server, xsplit(stream on justin.tv) no problem with that before and that is it.

Another thing i forgot to add is that my friend lagged the server bad with 26 tnt when i did world guard and destroyed it so i think it ruined everything ontop of it

    That's odd.

Okay, so the usual...make sure your firewall is configured properly (see if turning it off makes a difference), and checkout your router port forwarding (inc. whether your router is forwarding to your new machine's local IP). Also, try running the 32-bit version of Java instead. I've heard it's more stable and it's what we use.

i cant use the 32bit other wise it wont load and tells me to upgrade it up and my first server on this computer was the bukkit with no problem until that happened

Hmmm? 32-bit software will run fine on 64-bit Windows. I assume you're using Windows right?
If so, just download the 32-bit version of Java; Install it. Then modify the run.bat file accordingly to point to 32-bit Java (Program Files (x86)) instead of the 64-bit version.

Plus, exactly what changed from the first Bukkit server you were running? What is different about the new one?

    So...

    - You have one machine which you're testing on
    - You made a Bukkit server, installed mods on it, worked fine
    - Then you deleted it and made a new Bukkit server exactly as before, but didn't install mods
    - And now it's not working, where as the first one did? (Even though the setups are identical except you're not using plugins - same Java version, same Bukkit version, same run.bat commands, same computer, same internet, same router configuration, same Windows environment, everything...?)

Well First server did work fine at first until i put the world guard mod on then it lagged it all away and gliched tried to delete the mod it never worked,

2nd server Mods didnt work no mods sitll didnt work

Same computer and everything nothing else changed

Its aut0 32bit java i guess it doesnt tell me what it is but i rad its auto 32 bit java but you need to find a special download for 64 bit java

    That's pretty weird.

If nothing's changed from the first setup (if you take the mods off it's basically the same), then it sounds like it's something to do with internet settings.

First of all, disable your firewall(s) completely. Rule that one out. Connect again and see if it works.
If it doesn't, gonna have to start looking into network adapter settings (the network adapter which your internet is running through) and your router (and any other network hardware you may be using).

Sounds like you may have a fancy router and it's identified Bukkit as a dodgy piece of software...hence why it may have worked at first for a short time then stopped working.

I highly recommend trying out this proxy too...we've had a lot of network problems on our server and it's fixed it for many people. Download from here:
<Edit by Moderator: Redacted mediafire url>
Double click to run it. If all the Bukkit settings are as default, you just click Start and Unblock it from the firewall if you've got that turned on. People then just need to connect to [your server ip]:25500 instead.

If either of those don't fix it, it's time to check out your router. (command prompt -> type "ipconfig" -> copy default gateway address -> type it into internet explorer or another browser)

Ah, I have FiOS too. Which model router are you using? I can confirm that it works with an Actiontech MI424-WR Rev.D.....although I also run through another secondary router and then another switch, so that could affect it.

Okay, I'll post this in case anyone is having the same issue. For some reason or another, the problem ONLY happens when Fate actually connects to the server. I sent him a .zip with your average plugins all set up and working, and it was lagging like hell when he was on, but the moment he disconnected, all the lag was gone and everything was working great. I'm certain it has something to do with the fact that he's hosting the server on his own computer, but the server is saying it has plenty of RAM to spare (1GB cap, 200MB allocated, 87MB free). Is a quad-core 3.02GHz processor enough to play minecraft AND run the server?

Okay so if your using Java64bit then its ProgramFiles and not ProgramFiles(x86)
