The first message is because when using the console, you are not in a world, so the plugin makes an assumption of the world to use

The last message is because you can't use a command in game to act on promoting someone of the same rank or higher , or of a lower rank to your same rank.

The middle message indicates that you successfully changed the rank of a player Gobakos to the default rank, which is the command that you issued.

There are no problems shown -- all is 100% expected behavior. Unless the end result is not what you are expecting. In which case, pastebin your permisions files for folks to look at, and please explain what rank you want what person to be moved to in what world.

Again, just to clarify what Boomer said, this is all expected behavior and it is what ever server owner deals with. It's nothing to worry about. Keep doing what you are doing. :)

You need to use the console at least once to set yourself to a rank - in your example, you set yourself to default rank, which isn't likely much of anything... if you made an owner rank and set yourselt to it, then good.
But, your rank needs to hold the permission nodes for the group manager commands to be able to execute the commands in game, to promote or change ranks of other players to any rank lower than owner, so make sure that your owner rank has or inherits from global-group entries ranks with the correct permission nodes for groupmanager.

You are a server owner. It is your responsibility to read all the information on each plugin you install, instructions on how to install it, special instructions if things change between versions, how to use the commands, what the commands are, and what the permission nodes for it are.
Most plugins are directly on bukkit to make it more helpful, group manager is not directly but it is indirectly linked via bukkit and the essentials site. Search for wiki's on your plugins as they often have large examples to walk through, video links, or sample files to download. Google is your friend on this.
This plugin is just one, just one to start out the process of listing commands, and requiring specific permissions to use the commands within it, before your long process of working out how to deal with permissions from your other plugins. It is your first trial - can you use the resources of help pages, command lists, and examples for this plugin to get something working. If you can't, you'll be begging everyone to build your server line by line for everything else which is no way to run a server. If you can, you come out wiser and better for the next challange.
