    Hi there,

Some of you might know my mod. It features some new custom blocks (allocators, jump pads, fans and such). Currently I am in search of a way to make it work in SMP using bukkit.
I have a working custom server, but it can't be run with bukkit, because it seems as if craftbukkit brings its own server class files. I also want to allow people to download it as a server mod/plugin and set up their own server.

Is it possible to make a bukkit plugin that adds these custom blocks to the server? I didn't find any tutorial or another mod/plugin which does this. Most mods use ModLoader MP to enable SMP, but I personally don't like it and it isn't compatible with bukkit (which is great btw ^^).

    Thanks in advance,
    Pfaeff

There are some mods in progress...
I think 2 are really good and almost ready for use.
But a real solution isn't out yet.

Well, you can't add custom blocks as of yet, but after looking at your mods, they could be implemented by adding new functionality to existing blocks.

What do you want the server to do? They don't internally support custom blocks.

Is such a feature in the planning? Because changing existing blocks is not an option for me.

I just did this, and am thinking about doing a plugin that allows SSP mods that adds new blocks to be made compatible with bukkit. I've also made it possible to add custom recipes on the server side on the fly.
