Who to contact about my server being hacked

Hi, I own a server and yesterday somebody sent a GriefBot on my server. It completely destroyed spawn and chased off new players. They also had OP somehow. I tried to log on, only to find that I was banned. Obviously that is an easy fix, but still, that's more power than anyone should have.

I don't know if they used some sort of hack in-game to OP themselves or if they hacked my online console, but I do know that this is illegal, in the US at least. I was wondering, who do I contact to receive justice in this situation?

If you are using a host they could put your ip then :8000 and it will send them to the console. Try upgrade your host to something like a MultiPanel.

I'm just wondering who to contact here. I suppose I can try the new port thing, but I don't think my host would do that for me. Earlier this week I asked them to change it to the port for Adminium and they said no.

You don't contact anyone. You don't know who did it, you don't know who they are, you don't know where they live, and you have no proof they did it personally. That's also why what they did isn't illegal, it's just not. Take full responsibility for what happened since you're the owner, and use this as a learning experience for the future.

No one will do anything unless you can document at least $10,000 in monetary losses. Now post your startup log, so we can help you.
