How to get rid of < > ?

So i've been trying to get rid of the < > in peoples names for quite a while now. I know it has to due with essentials, but anything I do won't work. This is the < > im talking about http://gyazo.com/f3e16eb33d28c2343354746aea9a2c87

There's no < > there though?
