Welcome messages not working?

in the image below is what my welcome message is but i have it set to something totally different in the essentials config. can anyone help

I can't see any image of what your message currently is, all I can see is your config file. How is the message different from the one in the config? Essentials can also make a message of the day file that will show up when people log on; is that the message you're seeing?

What other plugins does your server have? Perhaps one of them is overriding Essentials.
