HUGE BUG ERROR.. YES CAPS ARE NESCARRY..

Im not sure or not if you know this

If you type /i 238.. it will crash your account.. no joke.. try it out on a test server... it will crash ur account on that server only.. i think it corrupts your inventory

im not sure if its only /i 238 or any item number that dosent exist

simple fix.. dont make a typo but two people did.. they are locked out of my server.. had to do a backup to beable to get them on.. i thought maybe it was just a one time thing.. like an idiot.. i my self on my main account typed /i 238 to see if it was a joke.. nope caused internal server error.. and everytime i tried to log back on my account on that server i got an internal server error.. cleaner the inventory wiper didnt work.. i had to back up

please fix this asap.. this already cost me 2 days worth of peoples work because i had to back up..

Lesson learned.. make more frequent backups lol

 

/help by itself now gives Error: 0. /help 1 gives the first page.

/i item gives a default of 64. I prefer just one diamond axe, thanks Your default config should operate on the principle of least surprise. After editing default-stack-size to 1, /plugin reload Essentials failed to reset the configuration and i had to restart the server. Probably an issue with the existing plugin architecture I suspect.

Although //undo from WorldEdit can undo tools like /bigtree, there's no obvious way in Essentials to turn this kind of tool off in a similar way to the super pickaxe. Principle of least surprise again.

 

That's because there's no existing item with the data value 238.

 

If someone has a test server that they can put a backup immeaditley on.. please try this out so i know its not a server only issue..

@LaDestitute i know that.. it was a typo

but if someone accidently types a wrong number, the ycan seriously mess up there thing.. i know obvious thing is not to type a typo.. but typos happen and it shouldnt be a matter of messing up your account on a server or not if u make a typo ya know? not trying to be a smart ass at all believe me

Err... Still getting Error when I use /list

Hi,

Firstly, great, really great plugin, and as it is evolving I need less and less other plugins.

I would love to see an option to permit certain kits to certain groups of users only.
So, having a tool & food kit for everyone, and some other kits for mods & admins only.
Since you are using permissions plugin, it should be possible right?

 

Oh and my config file isnt being generated still. Is there any way you could upload the config file with the jar in a zip? or seperately? or make it create a config file hehe. Thanks for the constant updates

Yes, downloaded it just now and restarted. I even deleted the Essentials folder all together, either way doesnt work.

Could there be a flatfile for help
so that I could add defined commands into the help
(Maybe create the file there or else it shows the default self-sustained help)

i am aware 238 isnt an actualt item value.. but its scary that if someone makes a simple typo like that.. they can seriously mess up there account on that server

@elitecancer It's as simply as redownloading the Essentials.jar file. Let me know if you need help finding where it goes.

What i do, is i overwrite the essentials .jar and i overwrite the config.yml from old to new

The cleanest way is to overwrite the .jar, generate a new config.yml, and copy any settings over manually. The easiest way is to just replace the .jar.
