Players all lag out during auto-save

    Every 15 minutes Bukkit is set to autosave. Recently, when the save happens, it hasn't been a two-second save like it usually is. It now hits upwards of 30 seconds, at which time, all players lag out. It happens almost every time now. I removed all plugins to see if it would correct the issue, but it did not. I then removed all worlds but the main "world" world. It still does it. I'm not getting a single error in console at all. Only seems to happen since I updated to Bukkit build #2889.

    Anyone having the same issue or have an idea on fixing it?

    Its happening to me too, when It does save-all it lags out the server and I noticed high RAM usage. Same amount of plugins. In 1.6.2 CPU & RAM was fine but now in 1.6.4 save-all lags the server.

    Tried Spigot, same result. Its the same map as 1.6.2 and now in 1.6.4 theres lag.

    I'm seeing the same thing with build #2887. Happens if I do a /save-all

    You're running a development build. You can't expect it to be stable, and we never claimed it to be stable or safe to run.

    We never claimed to have those expectations. Aren't we allowed to try to identify the problem and when it was introduced?

    If you experiencing this issue then you should report this on bukkit jira.

    But before you do, try if this happens with a freshly created world.

    I'm wondering if this problem happened in the 1.6.2 Recommended build, because I did notice a change in the saving behavior. I didn't notice if the lag problem happened then.

    Apparently, Mojang screwed up in 1.6.4 (surprise!) and the fix for the lag problem is to save less data, which will break things regarding ender eyes, witch huts, and nether fortresses.

    Well with that attitude its not going to change. Someone has to report a problem before its getting revised.

    My every-six-hours save happened while 2 or 3 Mob Arena games were in progress. Everything froze for 10 seconds. The players were not happy.

    Build 2905 claims to address this problem.
